ALLIE CAT TATTS

A former TV Executive now telling stories on skin

Black & Grey.

Afro-Americana.

Rubberhose Cartoons.

Subculture.

My tattoo designs are inspired by the generation raised on MTV and TRL, Saturday morning cartoons, VHS tapes, Myspace and burned CDs.

I specialize in custom tattoos that blend hip hop and punk subculture with classic cartoons, creating playful and bold black and grey traditional designs.

From nostalgic 90’s & 2000s pop culture to unique stylistic mashups, my work is all about turning childhood memories into timeless ink. These are tattoos for your inner teenager.

If this speaks to you then you’re in the right place.

a tattoo artist leaning over their client while they tattoo them in a tattoo shop in Los Angeles

Hi, I’m Alex

As a former television executive at JJ Abrams’ BAD ROBOT, Lena Waithe’s HILLMAN GRAD PRODUCTIONS and Dick Wolf’s WOLF FILMS— and a contributor for Marvel Comics — I deeply understand how stories and art can shape and comfort us.

Body positivity and mental health advocacy are at the center of my practice as an artist. I want my clients to see something they love every time they look in the mirror.

When I’m not tattooing you can find me skating & cycling around LA, playing my bass guitar, or rage-baiting my cat named Rain.

A collage featuring a screenshot of a news article titled 'J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Expands TV Division, Hires Alex as Vice President of Television', a photograph of a woman with long dark hair and glasses, a black and white photo of two people smiling at an event, a Marvel comic book cover titled 'Marvel's Voices: Alex', handwritten notes about storytelling and publications, and illustrations of a robot face and a cat drawn over the images, with gold tape accents.

A full day session is $1200. This is best for larger and more detailed designs like sleeves & back pieces.

A half day session is $600. Most custom requests fall into this category.

For flash, my minimum is $150.

I collect a small, non-refundable deposit when you book your appointment. This deposit holds your spot in my calendar and goes towards the final cost of your tattoo.

I prefer to charge a flat rate so that there’s no guessing or rushing on the day of your appointment. If we make a design change, need to move the stencil 500 times, or need to take breaks you are fully covered by the flat rate fee.
